Chances of being pregnant?!

Question: I've been on birth control (microgynon) for a month and about two weeks, i've taken it every day (apart from the 7 day break) but i have been taking it at different times (by a few hours mainly on weekends)...The other day I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend (we've always used condoms before but I know he's STD free) He freaked out afterwards and wants me to get a pregnancy test. Oh and I've still been taking the pill every day since we had sex.

But I was just wondering, what are the chances of me getting pregnant? Thankyou :)

Ok, FIRST of all that crap about taking your birth control pill everyday at the SAME time is so stupid. I am 32 years old and I have been on the Pill since I was 18! I have NEVER EVER taken it at the same time everyday and I've never even had a scare of being pregnant.

Second of all, when you first start on the birth control pill, you are supposed to use back-up (condoms) for the first month. When you start the SECOND month of the pill, you can stop using the back-up.

Also, if you SWITCH the type of birth control pill (for example, you said you are on Microgynon and you want to try Ortho Tri Cyclin), you are supposed to use back-up AGAIN for that first month so your body adjusts to the new pill.

Please remember this too: If you have to take Antibiotics for any reason USE A CONDOM FOR THE REST OF YOUR PACK OF PILLS!!! Antibiotics cancel out birth control pills.

you are suppose to take your pill the same time everyday.
if you dont this will decrease its effectiveness.

You're most likely fine, even with a several hour window. (With pills today, if you take them within 3 hours of your usual time, you're good to go.)

The best time to take a pregnancy test is one to two weeks after your missed period; the pregnancy hormone HCG will have had time to show up in that window.

Odds are good that you're not pregnant.
