Mirena ???!
Question: has anyone else's body gone completely haywire with mirena!?! i've always been prone to yeast infections and occasional itching down there that I always attributed to hormones and stress. i got mirena about six months ago and bled for the first month. i didn't realy have any other symptoms during that time. once the bleeding stopped about once a month right before my period, i'll start with a mild itch and irritation down below. sometimes it gets so dry that all i have to do is wipe and the skin will crack and bleed. they look like little paper cuts. if i put neosporin on them they usually heal up in a day or so. my boobs are also more sore than they've ever been. it hurts to wear a bra! during this time i will have occasional cramping that can get pretty intense. these all coincide together. everything i read online says stuff about herpes which is terrifying? does it sound like it? has someone else had these kinds of probs with mirena? could it be due to pH & hormones?

get it out imediately! i had merina for 2 years dr kept giving me prescriptions for this and that, i thought the same thing found out i had a yeast infection, they suck and itch, i told the dr that the iud was causing it and he disagreed but i am stubborn, i know my body, i made him take it out, and guess what i was right! i havent had a problem since. so yes i believe it is a side effect of merina and i suggest you get it removed imediately, now htey are great, my sister has never had a problem with hers. just some people are more sensistive, need more advice email me! katietawanda@yahoo.com
I'm sure it's not herpes. Herpes isn't cuts its more like sores. I think it sounds like you're having a reaction to the Mirena. Ask your doctor.
