As several people have already indicated, it could be a yeast infection. However if you have never had a yeast infection before, then you should not PRESUME that it is one because it could be a different type of infection, such as bacterial vaginosis. Different infections require different types of treatment. You could go onto a website such as the Mayo Clinic's to read up on the different symptoms of vaginal infections (they have a tool there called "Symptom Checker") but really your best bet is to see a doctor. Sometimes even a doctor can't be sure unless he sends a specimen from a swab to the lab for analysis. And don't worry about having a swab done...it's basically just like having a q-tip rubbed against the opening to the vagina so that some of the discharge goes onto the tip to be tested. Nothing gets put up inside you and it does not hurt at all. Hopefully you have a family member you feel comfortable confiding in that can bring you in for a checkup. I know it can be embarrassing but these types of things happen to everyone at some point in their life so try not to let that interfere with you getting the medical attention you need. Good luck sweetie!

have you had sex?
oral, vaginal, or anal...

sounds like a yeast infection.

It could be lots of different things! You might have a yeast infection. You may want to tell you mom or ask your doctor.

It could be a yeast infection. Have you been on antibiotics lately? You might need to see a doc and get some meds, like Monistat.

its probly a yeast infection

Yeast infection, it's normal if you have taken antibiotics or anything like that. You can buy medication and it will go away in a couple days.

you may have a yeast infection you can get some monistat to treat it.

If you dont want to go to the doctor yet.. my guess is it is a yeast infection. go buy monistat 1 day ovual insert. you stick it up there and it works for a few days. if it doesnt get better in a couple days go to the doctor.
Its not a big deal but it needs to be treated imediatly

Sounds like a yeast infection... drink as much canberry juice as you can, until you pee, then do it again, and again (try to drink like 2L's of it) it'll cure it for you! that's what I did, and it worked really quickly

also this sounds really weird, but make sure you're properly cleaning 'down there'

Anyone can get a yeast infection; wearing a damp bathing suit can aggivate it, or sweating in the nighttime if you wear underpants to bed. When guys get this, they call it jock itch. There are over the counter yeast medications, but they don't necessarily wipe out the kind of yeast you may have, so it is better to get a prescription for a doctor. The doctor will NOT assume you are sexually active. and may recommend a different soap or laundry detergent too.

def. sounds like a yeast infection. It's not something that is realated to being "dirty" anybody can get one. Even infants get them. It's from heat and moisture down there. And if you are going through puberty hormones and the growth of pubic hair can participate in one of these infections. Talk to your mom about making you a gyn. appt. then after you can do some simple things to prevent them. Such as after you get out of the shower using a blow dryer to completly dry yourself down there that way when you get dressed you are not locking in any moisture. Good luck and don't be embarassed.
and just so you know cranberry juice is for bladder infections.

Do yourself a favor and don't guess at what it may be go to the doctor and find out what it is.
