Did you cheat mother nature by having kids & no tummy change? R U rare?!

Question: Okay so this is to all the moms out there. Every woman I know except one (she only gained 8lbs prego) either has stretch marks or the looser skin (usually both),

So did u cheat mother nature or did your tummys appearance change after kids w/stretch marks & lose skin??? If it did change is it bothersome enough to get cosmetic surgery, or are u fine with it???

P.S. I personally got some stretch marks & my skin is a lil looser than it used to be!!! So I was not fortunate enough to cheat mother nature.......whatever.... =)

I actually did pretty okay...even through my 6th child. I was still able to fit everything I wore in highschool as a senior (which was some 17 years previous to baby #6).

But when I had my 7th child, I had to have an emergency C-Section, so I did not 'snap' back like I had previously. I mean I did, eventually...but for about a month or so (until the discomfort subsided) my abdomen was looser than normal.

My 8th child was born a year later, and because I actually endured a 'real' labor and delivery experience (4 hours and some mintes versus the extrememly minimal times for the other 6 pregnancies...not counting the Caesarian). So when I got home, I actually felt a little bruised and battered. But I was still back in my old clothing within a month (size 2/3/4).

Stretch marks were very fine and light, and pretty much disappeared. My abdomen was only slightly 'puffy'. I got more stretch marks than I had ever had when I put on weight last August. My stomach is also larger and looser, now.

My first pregancy, I gained 6# (not on purpose). I didn't gain more than 10 or so until the doctor put me in the hospital for a month (I fell) with baby number 4. I gained 30#.

So while post-preganancy I was fine, I guess mother nature had an ace up her sleeve or something. Even so, I am going to take a few classes at the YMCA and see if that will help. No surgery, though. I will have to work on this by sweating it out.

Hope I helped.
God bless you. ?

My mom has had two kids, and she has NO stretch marks and a amazing stomach. She lost all her weight as fast as possible nad weighs like 115. She looks great.
I tihnk the way your stomach reacts is genetic.
I would get surgery! I would hate to have a wrinkly stomach!

I only gained 4 pound when i was pregnant, I have got stretch marks but they were there before, they are just deeper and darker. I don't mind having stretch marks though, they don't really bother me that much. I don't have any loose skin though.

I know a few people like that... some say they used alot of cocoa butter while pregnant so they wouldnt get stretch marks...as for the flat tummy...I think that is genetics... how elastic your skin is and how quick it will bounce back...

First of all, if your friend really did only gain 8lbs while she was pregnant, that is highly unhealthy for the baby, the minimum you should gain is 20. 15 for girls who are significantly smaller than average, and 25-30 for girls who are like me, extremely tall and medium weight.i barely gained 20 pounds with my last child and the doctors were flipping out.
But back to your question, I have so many stretch marks i cant count them. My stomach looked horrible after my first child, I went from 130 pre prego, to 220 at delivery. And no that much weight was not from french fries or anything like that, I was retaning water like crazy. i actually lost 34 lbs before I left the hospital. After my third I am 165, and my stomach is a little looser than it used to be, but not ugly, the stretch marks are almost invisible.
I have a sister in law who has had three kids and you cant even tell, it makes me sick!!!

I was one of the lucky one I guess, i have three children, my first was 8lbs 5oz (which was huge for me) second and third were 7lbs 14oz.. I have always been 50kg and only 5"2, with my first pregnancy I gained a whopping 25kg, I was pregnant everywhere, after a 50 1/2 hours labour, I walked out of the hospital in my size 6 jeans, with the other two I gained 11 kg each and again walked out of the hospital in jeans.. my children are now 12, 7 and 5 and I have not a stretch mark to be seen, nor excess skin, I don't exercise and I'm still 50kg, although I must say!! after breast feeding 3 kids I went from a 12DD bra to not much at all anymore, which doesn't make me too happy :) .. Mother nature was kind to me, although I would love my breasts back!!!

I gained 42 pounds with my pregnancy at age 30. I had no stretch marks and no sagging skin. Until I became pregnant, I ran 40-50 miles a week. During pregnancy, I ran until my stomach was too big; then I walked an hour a day. I had a healthy 9-pound baby.

As other posters suggested, whether you get saggy skin and stretch marks may be partially genetic. Perhaps I cheated mother nature, but now that I'm older I have a little "menopot", so perhaps I didn't cheat nature at all!

i was 16 when i got pregnant with my first child i gained 75 lbs with him. but i weighed 80 before i got pregnant after i had him i wen t down to 90 lbs and had some stretch marks. i stayed between 90 to 95 lbs up till i got pregnant with my daughter at 20 gained 65 lbs with her and lost it all so nw i am 26 years old and still weigh 90 to 95 lbs. i guess i cheated i got 3 stretch marks 1 across the back and two little matching ones in the front both my children weigh 7 lbs at birth and between 19 - 21 inches
