Question: My aunt told me the one time that she got her period for the first time when she was 10. What is the youngest age that you've heard of someone getting their period? I thought the average age is 12, but apparently girls are developing faster these days.

on the tv there was this person who started at 3 but had 2 take pills to stop it coming each month and had injections and all

i got mine at 11, i'm now 20
My best friend got hers at 10, too. I got mine at 12...bleh.
I don't think it's people maturing faster, I think it's just individual body that makes the diffrence. Some people don't get theirs until they're 16 or so.
I think I got my period when I was 8, but my mom said that I was suppost to start at the age of 6! I don't know why I was supost to start so early.
I had a cousin who started at 9.
you can get your period as young as 7 or 8. crazy huh? yeah.. i got mine 3 days before my 11th bday. but yeah i'm 13 now. usual age to get a period is 11-14. if you haven't gotten your period by age 16 you have a problem.

My mother got hers at 9. I got mine at 11.
I started mine at 11 years old, body weight can play an important role when beginning your period, i think i was around 112lbs, I was a tall girl for my age and unfortunately haven't grown almost ten years later lol.
My friend was ten, another friend was 14, it's difficult to predict.

the youngets i know of is six so yeh girls are developing faster but i got mine at 12 so .
