I don't trust tampons, lol..?!

Question: I just started using them, because pads are soo annoying with karate. My sensei likes using me for demonstrating partner stretches (which invlolves me in the air upside down bent in half, like yoga poses sometimes) because I am small and light. Well, I told him I coulden't this week "just because"..lol I hope he got where I was getting at! Well, are tampons completely trustworthy? How do I know if a certain kind is big enough for me? What are the best kind that will hold up to intense activity? Thanks!! And God bless

When starting my daughter uses the regular size. But when u become older or have kids , that area is bigger so the super is necessary for the heavy days... towards the end using lites is a good idea. I like tampax pearl or playtex. But try diffrent kinds to see what u like and what works best for u.

that have Playtex sport.....i use those when i go to the gym! :)

I have tried just about every kind that there is and they have all worked for me. I personally like the plastic applicators better, but I use the cardboard ones too.
They all work just fine for me. You probably want to start out with the regular and see how that works. If you need more protection go to a super. But I {and many other girls} have all different sizes just depending on the flow and what they are going to do that day. Good luck!!

thats ok alot of ppl dont use then or start using them later

You can buy the multi pack which will come with like 4 light, 4 regular, and 4 super just to see which kind you need. I prefer Tampax Pearl or Playtex Gentle Glide because I've found them to be the mos absorbent.

To know if you're using the right one: if blood leaks past it, it's either too small or you've left it in too long. If it hurts to pull it out, it's too dry and it's either too big or you need to leave it in a little longer. Never leave them in for more than 6-8 hours though!

I've found the one that's worked best for me is Playtex Sport. They're comfortable, and don't leak (unless they get full). I would suggest something like this, with maybe a pantyliner just in case. That way you don't have to worry about leakage, but you also don't have the burden of a huge pad, either.
