Sounds like your first period. While women don't necessarily bleed constantly, you can't "turn it off" for a couple hours. It may stop bleeding for a bit, but that's just how your body works and can't be controlled. When you wipe and see little or no blood, you're probably still bleeding inside, but it just hasn't made its way out yet. The best thing for you to do is to keep wearing a pad until you're certain that your period is over so that it doesn't bleed through to your pants. Since this is your first period, it might take a few cycles for it to regulate so that you know when its supposed to show up. You might want to start wearing a purse and keep some pads/liners in there so that you're prepared.

P.S. You should probably talk to your mother, aunt or someone close to you so that they can show you how everything works and answer your questions. Plus, the first period could really be scary for you...I know it was for me!

sounds like you got your period.

You don't flow every minute - it'll stop for a couple seconds or minutes. Just use a pad, I highly recommend to not use a tampon for your first period, and if you get lower back pain or cramps (you'll know when you get them), take advil or ibuprofen.

umm yea the batman guy is a asshole and u shouldnt be allowed to answer questions.

have you ever had your period before? how old are you?

this is what happend to me, so dont freak out or think your period just came and went. you'll be ok just get a pad or tampon and tell your mom! well actually get a pad not tampon

yay! you've started your cycle to womenhood.
talk to your mom, she'll give you all the details.
or you can go to the nurse at school and she'll tell you everything you need to know.
write down when you start and end your period, when it becomes regular then you will be prepared.
and always, i mean ALWAYS carry extra panties and tampons/pads.

good luck! :)

Thats your period! Congrats! The blood does not flow constantly for all woman. Make sure you use a pad or a tampon so the blood does not leak through your pants.

Well....it means you are a woman!!! ha ha jk.
It means you have started your period. Just ask you mom or and adult to go with you and ge pads or tapons. But I recomend pads for the first few times.

Sometimes periods are irregular. I use to have some that lasted less than a day, or only a few hours when I was in college. Get a small calendar and put an "x" on the days that you have a period, and see if you can spot a pattern from one month to the next, so you'll know when to be ready.

You got your period, sometimes it just stops its okay.

grab some wipes and a pad!
