A "Little Problem"?????!

Question: ok so.
i have noticed that lately...maybe for a while....my 'area' has been itchy, my discharge has been yellow, and it kinda smells down there! i asked some people on here... an they told me it most likely was a yeast infection. i got up all of my strength and wrote a note to my mother...saying how i think i had a yeast infection and i might need to go to the doctors....i gave it to her, and ran out the door to soccer practice. when i got home from soccer....she didnt say a thing about it...i wonder if she will...or if she will even make an appointment.....cause people told me i really needed to make one......

should i bring the subject up again...
or should i not say anything about "my little problem"

im not sure......HELP????

btw...i am only 11 and i am NOT sexually active

Absolutely! You are the one who looks to your parents for help and this includes your health. I know it may feel embarrassing, but you are the one who will physically suffer until you get medication.
It's possible it has slipped her mind since you were gone for a while when you first gave her the note. Moms are busy and can be forgetful. It's also possible she is uncomfortable with the topic, afraid maybe you are sexually active.
As a mom, I know I would want you to talk to me honestly. Go to her and let her know you are uncomfortable and need medical attention. You could even share with her the fact that you are not having sex, to calm her fears. This may open the door to more conversations.
If nothing gets done after you try, you could always purchase a yeast infection test from the pharmacy, to make sure that is what you are dealing with. The medication can also be purchased over the counter. If however, it isn't a yeast infection, you need to go to a doctor.
Good luck!!!

It can be hard but just be honest and up front with your mom. I have had yeast infections before and they are no fun. It can be serious if you don't take care of it so talk to her ASAP!

yeah you should bring it up again, just ask her if you got your note/if she made an appointment. tell her you're not sure but you want to check it out to make sure it's all okay. and if she's looking funny be like "it's probably from soccer" because it's true, those sweaty soccer clothes can harbor bacteria.

easier doing that than saying it outright that you prob have an infection. no one wants to discuss that w/ their mom, no worries.

kay good luck!

Yeast infections are no fun, your mom should not have avoided your note. Please go and talk to her again and let her know you are concerned, left untreated it can cause further problems for you. You can have your mom take you to your local drug store and buy an over the counter treatment for you and do the treatments at home and have her show you how to do it, it is really simple and you will feel better. PLEASE GET YOUR MOM TO HELP!! I hope you feel better, take care!!!

hey girl goo!!!!! to the doctor asap!!

i didnt say nothing for like 4months.. the yeast infection spread. and i then got a bladder infection and then a kidney infection i was in and out of E.R getting meds pumped into my system....

Trust me kidney pain is the worst and most uncofortable. SOOOOO GO NOW AND GET IT CHECKED OUT!!

Yeast infection are nothing to be ashamed of u just taked a pill to make it go away so dont be scared. Its all apart of growing up.!
