Waxing facial hair thats been shaved?!

Question: please, serious answers only.

I have pcos, and started shaving some areas of my face when I was younger, so ofourse their coarse and dark. I cant realy afford electrolisis or laser.. Im wondering, does waxing realy make the hairs finer and lighter? Even if they have been shaved? How long will it take to see an actual difference in the hairs?

Thanks.

Yes it will, over time. But if you are dark haired and have been shaving for a very long time, it will take multiple waxing's.

Four to Six weeks is typical, six months is just unheard of. I suppose if you had very little hairs, perhaps peach fuzz and are light haired and never shaved, maybe. But thats not going to happen for the typical woman. Think about it, women who have electrolisys and laser hair removal end up needing to go back in for touch ups in less than 6 months, if it worked like that, we'd all be doing that instead.

Lets not forget, you have polycistic ovary syndrome, your hair growth is different from the average woman, and that should be remembered before one leaves information.

Are you using spironolactone aswell? Make sure you speak to your Endocrinologist before doing anything.

waxing can have the effect that the hair starts to come in thinner but that is over a long period of time of waxing over and over again. have you tried nair for the face? there are mens versions also that may work better for thicker hair.
btw - with waxing you have to let the hair grow out longer than with shaving it before the wax will be able to work

Yes you can wax it even after shaving. (but not right away after) By waxing you it will pull it out by the roots, and from what my friend says it doesn't even hurt that much. It will last a long time, like Hmm 6 or something months. (the more you do it the longer it lasts, this is just my friends experience with it)

You could also try threading, It takes longer to do, and hurts like a b*tch. So I wouldn't try it

Oh the trials and tribulations of being a woman! ; ]
