Is it more hygienic to wear thin pads EVERYDAY?!

Question: I'm 20 and my aunt told me once that I should use those thin pads everyday because we always have a little discharge.. she says that I should use it so that I don't get embarrassed if a boyfriend sees my dirty underwear because they get really grossed out by it?? I didn't really pay attention to what she said.. but today my mom told me the same thing. I feel like it would be more weird if i was wearing one of those while laying in bed with my boyfriend and fooling around.. She says that a lot of people do this??.. does anyone?... is it considered more hygienic? do guys care???...

Lots of women do wear thin pads, or panty liners each day. Not everyone does. Those who do, do so for the reasons they are talking about - keeping your underwear clean and not feeling wet. As you probably know, at certain times of the month you will feel wet as you go about your normal activities (close to ovulation) - a liner fixes that feeling.

As far as guys go, most don't look in your panties. Those who do should expect to see something lol. But yes, some find it gross (most don't).

As far as laying in bed fooling around... its best to not wear one. Almost all guys want to feel the wetness you being aroused causes. With a liner, they won't feel that. (At least not through your panties) If you want to wear one most of the time, just remove it before you fool around.

Check with your guy for specific details of what he likes. But if you find he likes fooling around rubbing you through your panties, you can almost bet he is doing that to see how wet he can get you to feel as he rubs you. A liner would disappoint him.

I dont know about guys but pantiliners make some people feel more refreshed & clean everyday. It doesn't mean that your "unhygenic" if you dont, it's just personal preference.

You dont need to. Personally, I think its a waste of money. Unless you have really heavy discharge you should not be worried about wearing them.

And if you change your underwear everyday you can be hygenic!

I wouldn't do that, wastes money, guys don't like it. Sorry to tell you this, but your Aunt and Mom were wrong.

I have to wear one almost every day. I can usually get by without them the week after my period. I was so happy when StayFree came out with liners for thong underwear. Yeah! I don't wear them to bed, just during the day if you feel weird about being intimate with your boyfriend.

I think using them everyday might be a waste of money, unless you really have a lot of discharge coming out. Sometimes I feel a little self-conscious when I have discharge in my underwear, but my boyfriend could care less - he doesn't even look, he's more interested in just getting them off haha. I doubt your boyfriend would care if you were wearing a pad - mine doesn't try to get involved with my feminine problems, he'd probably just ignore it.

If you go into the feminine hygiene aisle at a supermarket or Target, there's so many different products to make you feel more refreshed. St. Ives makes a bunch of different wipes and powders that you can use to get rid of the discharge before it even hits your underwear.

There is a difference between thin 'pads' and pantyliners, and I think you are talking about pantyliners. It depends on whether you feel you have enough discharge to need one. I wear them everyday because I am usually pretty wet down there, and they do help me feel dry and cleaner. As far as boys go, It shouldn't matter to them. If they know anything about the female reproductive system, they should know that it's normal for the vagina to be moist and that this can happen. My boyfriend has never cared if I had a pantyliner or pad on or not. It depends on the guy and their level of maturity.
