Should i see a doctor or not worry?!?!?!
Question: My cousin has strep throat and i saw her on Saturday (we rode in the same car and ended up staying at my sister in laws house for like 2 hours) she was coughing all over the place and i sat next to her for a while. Then my cousins husband got strep throat too and he came over on Sunday to my house and gave me a hug when he got here and when he left.
Well for 2 days now my throat has been REALLY sore and every time i swallow it feels like i have sand paper in my throat. my right tonsil is pretty swollen and my temperature isnt all the high. my regular temp. is usually 97 but since yesterday its been in 99. i've just been taking tylenol so it wont go higher.
And today i saw this little white spots on the VERY back of my tongue. i tried to scrap it off when i brushed and then with my hand but it wont come off.
Could it just be a simple sore throat or is it possible that they gave me strep throat????????

Sounds like strip throat to me. I would get to the doc and get on some antibiotics before it gets worse.

If i were you i would go to the doctor. If the white spots weren't always on your tongue, then maybe your doctor could prescribe some medicine.

Its probably nothing big but you should definately see a doctor just in case :)

This is strep throat. You need to see a doctor. Until you get a prescription (Penicillin) It will not get better. Good luck
It sounds like pharyngitis. I had that a few months ago and I got the white lumps. They won't come off, so don't scratch at them! I would call the doctor and get a prescription for some anti-biotics. Atleast give them a call and tell them you were around sick people all weekend. They should bring you in with a day. Good luck, hope you feel better!

Sounds like strep def, the white patches are usually the tell tale sign.. get to the doc ASAP before it gets worse.

I do suggest you to go to the doctor ASAP to see if antibiotic can make you feel better dont owrry too much but still go see a doctor.

That sounds like strep throat. Those are the symptoms: sand paper feeling scratchy throat, white puss spots in the back of the throat, swollen tonsils, etc. My advise would to be to see your doctor.
oh my God, the EXACT same thing happened with my family this week.
definitely go get a strep test done & get antibiotics/ a shot if the test is positive. since your family all has strep throat, it is pretty unlikely that your sore throat is just a sore throat.
oftentimes, people dont actually have that high of a fever when they get strep throat, so definitely go get it checked even if you dont feel that sick--not treating strep throat can lead to heart problems later on in life

You don't have a high fever. 104 is high...99 is just a little over normal. You have to be tested for strep. The white spots could be something else, including tonsillitis. Gargle with salt water, take tylenol or aspirin. You will be fine in a few days. Probably the flu. Stay away from others. Go see the doctor. Wash your hands often
Definitely strep! You need to go to the DR so they can give you some antibiotics.

Yes, you definitely want to go to your nearest planned parenthood and get vacumned. There are exceptions to every rule but I would say you've got the clap or maybe a crab taco. Seriously, spread as much of it as you can before you get checked.
