Brown Blood and Scared!?!

Question: Well, the last time I had a regulary period was in January... my next period that I had in February was completely brown... the WHOLE entire period. Now, this month (March), I haven't had my period yet. I have never had sex before. I've been somewhat "close" to my boyfriend when I was somewhat naked... but NEVER sex. And on top of it, he had his pants on during then, too! Even when we go into the shower together, I always wear some sort of "pants", while he's completely naked. I'm too scared to get pregnant (Hence why I've never had sex yet).
I went to the GYN and the first thing she told me was I have nothing to worry about. She said if it continues for another 3 months to come back in... but I don't want to wait 3 months!
On top of it, my OCD isn't helping the situation. Thoughts keep on running through my mind "OMG, YOU'RE PREGNANT" even though I've never even been anywhere near it.

PS: I'm 20.. 5'7" about 115 pounds (I know I'm underweight).

Sorry for all the details! :)

Aww. Don't worry, I was in your situation a few months ago. I went on birth control just to ease my nerves.

I guess you're probably thinking what I was thinking "what if it soaked through the fabric? What if it ended up on my hand and I touched myself? What if...."

But the truth is, the chances of you being pregnant are really slim. I guess maybe you needed to hear that from somebody else who's been there? Getting pregnant is such a scary thought that it's hard not to obsess about it, so I totally understand how you feel, but it's NOT likely!

If you're really nervous, you could try using a pregnancy test. If you're pregnant, it should show up, right? But it won't, and you can feel better when you've seen it with your own eyes.

There are many things that can cause you to skip a period. Stress and changes in diet/exercise are big ones, and some women are naturally irregular.

Why not get on the pill? If you can afford the cost, it'll regulate your period and ease your mind. It doesn't mean you have to have sex.

what exactly is your question?

I can't explain your brown cycle, but I would really like you to CALM DOWN. If you have never had sex, you CAN NOT be pregnant! If you are really still concerned, please go and see your Dr. I hope you feel better!!! Stressing is only going to make your problems worse. Kudos to you for still holding on to your virginity. I'm very proud of you!!!

If your GYN said not to worry about it, then don't. A lot of the time that's just the color of your uterine lining, or maybe it's chilling out in there a little longer than usual and turning brown instead of staying red or something?

At any rate, if you've already talked to a doctor, you're certainly not going to find anyone more qualified to answer your question than that here.
