why does it matter? I think for the most part they are telling the truth. Most women don't have the same sex drive that men have.
did you ever consider the possibility that they are telling the truth and just don't do it much? Sex isn't the same for guys and girls. Statistics show that fewer women masturbate than men. Get over it.

why do you think they are lying? i agree with the first answer - there are a lot of women that don't feel the need to masturbate, that sex is enough for them, or nothing at all. it's really not uncommon. then again, there are a lot of women that do it a lot, too. but unless a woman is a sex addict, you're going to find that most don't have the same sex drive as a male. testosterone is what makes someone lustful or horny, and want to have sex. women don't have nearly as much.

and im not saying that all guys masterbate or anything,
but it is true that more guys masterbate then girls,
and im not saying that the girl(s) ur talking about are/is telling the truth but most girl dont masterbate that much
...and if the girl doesn't wanna tell u the truth then she doesnt have to-and again, like the first person said, why does it matter?

We're not always comfortable with it ourselves; it's a vicious cycle, no one talks about it, so some feel dirty about it, and don't discuss it....
Plus, many women require battery operated devices, and that's another added source of embarrassment or feeling like we're cheating on our husbands/boyfriends. Some women's orgasms are always better when they do it themselves; do you guys really want to know that?
The other thing is, how do you know we don't talk to other women about it? Would you talk to a women about masturbating? And do guys really discuss it that much?
I dont know why we do it..it is just looked down and not as socially permissable. My husband worked out of town for a few months, so I resorted to pleasing myself for a while, but denied doing it to my husband. I don't know, I just felt embarassed to tell him.
My ex-wife masturbated often,and in front of me, without any embarrassment at all. My current wife says she doesn't do it (I don't believe her). I guess it depends on the woman and how comfortable she is with both herself and sexual topics in general. My wife also says she doesn't like anal sex yet she has multiple orgasms without touching herself as we have anal intercourse. Those Catholic girls...... ;-)
A better question is why guys think girls should want to talk about it.
I can't imagine the scenario under which guys just go around asking girls if or how often or in what ways they masturbate. Ever hear of something being personal? Young girls especially are modest. Some of them are afraid to tell their own mothers that they've started their periods. So why are they going to want to satisfy your idle curiosity about their masturbation habits, if they even have a habit?
I've actually never heard of a woman lying just to cover something like that up unless you're talking about younger girls who aren't fully comfortable with their sexuality yet. It's like pooping I guess...you don't want to announce to the world about your pooping habits even though you know everyone else poops too. But completely lying about whether she does it or not altogether? I don't know about that one...
