Ladies: How was your first GYN appointment?!
Question: Did you feel violated afterward? Was it easy for you? Were you embaressed? Was it no big deal?
I just want to know how it was for you...
I had my first GYN appointment recently, and I thought I would feel violated afterward, but it was actually pretty okay. My GYN, she was really nice and made me feel confortable. Overall, it wasn't bad. So how was it for you?

Mine went great. I didn't feel violated.
I was 19 at the time and my mom was with me. Plus my first Gyn was a woman.
She was nice and explained everything as she went.
I was nervous at first, but that went away when the check up began.
i felt a little violated because i have a guy gyno :( blahh but im trying to switch lol :D
You don't feel violated at all.
My first gyno appointment was very much like a normal doctor's appointment.
For goodness sakes, they are doctors. They are just doing their jobs. Try to look at things from a medical perspective and you'll be fine. It's not like they turn on some music and show you a pole and then ask you to strip dance for them. If they want to examine you they will hand you a gown, quietly step out of the room, and patiently wait while you change. Honestly it's nothing to fear or worry about. You'll be fine.
Well at first they tried putting me in with this big scary guy and I told them no way I want to see a female doctor. But it was very uncomfortable. My mom was right there but I made her turn around. I hated it.
I was amazingly impressed at how professional my female doctor was. She explained everything and told me exactly what was going on.
I don't fear the gyno anymore!!
