u will have brief discharge of this nature 3-6 months b4 ur first period.

Any discharge that isn't clear isn't normal. But this could be your first sort-of-period. Not everyone has a proper period the first few times, and that sounds like how my period was when I was taking the pill (pretty grim really). But I'm assuming you haven't had sex so it can't be an STI, so the period thing seems most likely.
I do not have normal periods all of mine are like this. Talk to your mom about going to the gyno. Blood turns brown when it gets exposed to oxygen or is old. Assuming it is coming out brown something might be wrong, not saying there is, just saying there might be. There is nothing wrong with me just that my periods are very light and there is not enough to make a steady flow.
