It should get a dark red soon! It always happens to me! It starts and Finishes in Brown but im not exactly sure why! There shouldn't be anything wrong with it but just to be safe ask your doctor!

yes if you skipped your period blood would be in there from last time... its old and has been in there for weeks

Yeah that's happened to me before. It's not that great to use your pills to skip periods because the way regular birth control pills work is they slowly have less and less hormones to get your body ready for your period (like your body naturally does). If you like to skip your periods you should consider switching to the pill that reduces your periods to only 4 a year. I can't remember what it is called but that is what my doctor recommended when I skipped my periods a couple of times. I don't think you have to worry about the blood being weird, it should be normal next period.

That has happened to me ,although I didnt use birth control, but just happened to skip a month, although I dont think its old blood. But what it is? I would check with your Doctor.

Yeah, skipping pills will do this.

Did you get approval from your doctor to skip prescription drugs? You need to.

If you feel the need to constantly skip pills with or without doctor approval, you should get on birth control that keeps you doing what the prescription tells you, like getting on Seasonale, Seasonique, or Lybrel.
