depends what kind of person you are, if you are sl#$ girl than 10+, and if your a player also 10+. But if you respect your body and your marriage, than it's only one. But to answer your question "averge american" should have about 3-6 mates. But everyone's different. So far i have none. but it's really really really hard to keep it that way. I'm trying to save myself for marriage but some girls are just making me wanna lose it.

On average, I would say someone might have 20-30. I know that sounds high, but it's your whole life, which includes dating, marriages and casual sex.
