It's called a cyst. If it is on the top part of her wrist, it may very well be a ganglion cyst and, no, she can't die from it. It tends to grow and get tender and painful. Sometimes it pops on its own and other times it may need to be removed surgically. It grows and gets tender and painful and may restrict her wrist movement. I had one and had it surgically removed. When they take the whole cyst out, it's less likely to recur.
my cuzin had a sist on the back of his neck wen he was 8 or 9 and he had it surgically removed with no comlications....but on the wrist i dont know.... be a little worried and tell her to get it checked out.
It's a cyst(correct spelling) called a ganglion. It is nothing to worry about. If it really bothers her like painful; she can have it removed in an outpatient procedure. It's not a big deal. Don't worry. No, she's not going to die.
linda is right i have had one on in side of my wrist 8 years i had one wheni i little docter the told my dad w to hit a book also them in my right arm a least a dozen from car accident
I had what I thought was a cyst on my thomb. It just started growing one day. It turned out to be a Gient Cell Tumor. It was ok though. I had surgery and now it's gone. It was no real danger to me. She should get it checked anyways tho. :-)
