Pill question- Can I have sex w/o condoms yet?!

Question: I've been taking the pill (Alesse) since Sunday (the second day of my period). I'm still at the very tail end of my period. Can I have sex without condoms on Monday without the fear of getting pregnant?

If the instructions say 7 days then yes, it's 7 days. But every one I have ever taken you are supposed to wait atleast 2 weeks from when you first start taking it. Just make sure that in the instructions, the 7 days it is referrring to it, because it might mean wait 7 days after accidentally missing a pill, since the 7 day rule usually applies in that case.

NO.

It has to be in your system for at LEAST 1 month (try for 2 months to be safe).

No, you have to have taken the pill for a full cycle [usually 28 days] before you can start that.
You should still use a condom though, STDs are going around like mad lately

When I was on the hormonal birth control my doctor told me it would be 3 months until I could stop using the condoms.

I think they normally recommend that you wait at least two weeks before you have sex without a condom, just to be safe! It depends what kind of pill you are taking. Try calling your doctor or reading the information included in the prescription, it should definitely say in there! :) Good luck!

well u shuld always use a condom to be 100 percent sure so use a condom and da pill 4 extra protection

You need to be on the pill for atleast 2-3 full cycles of the pill to be safely ensured that you are controlled fully by the hormone in the birth control pills. Taking only 7 pills DOES NOT mean you are fully protected. Please use condoms or another back up birth control method until you have taking the 2-3 pill packs to be safely sure. Another thing you need to be sure of is to tak your pill at the same time every day, this ensures that hormones stay level in your blood, don't go more then 24 hours in between pills. Late pills mean break through bleeding, skipped pills can lead to an unplanned pregnancy. Please be carefuly, the pill when used correctly is very effective in preventing, pregnancy, but alwasy ensure to be protectected again STD, ensure to know the the safety of your sex partner for your safety as well.

My advise, don't have sex without a condom. The instructions state 7 days and you are only on 6th day I would wait. You know the old addage...Better "safe" haha than sorry! Not really a joking matter is it? Seriously, if you were my daughter I would advise you to wait. Are you positive you are both ok? Testing? Remember words are one thing but some STD's are for life.
Be careful and when in doubt about the timing on the pill, call a clinic. You don't have to give a name to ask a question. Be comfortable about whatever it is you do. When in doubt ...don't.
Good Luck, hope this helps.

Well they say if you started the pills on the FIRST day of your period then you're protected straight away, but just to be safe because you started on the second day I'd wait 14 days. And 3 months is rubbish you don't need to wait that long. You can be pretty sure after 2 weeks that you're totally protected.

Both clean... you have no way of knowing that! When you get a disease from your "clean" boyfriend, don't come crying to me!

Wait until you finish your first pack.
