Should I get the morning after pill?!

Question: I am posting this simular question again, one last time, in hopes of more responses directing me in the right path.

I lost (I dont know how I freakin lost it) my pack of birth control... like sometime in the span of last night and today... cant find it ANYWHERE...

On the plus side I am two days away from my placebo pills - which I would start Monday...

However I am still paranoid about what I should do. I have never missed a pill in my life, and I always take them at the same time each day... so I am nervous. Especially because we had sex last night and today... before I realized I couldnt find my pills.

Anyone ... especially those with medical expertise ... I would appreciate your opinions and help.

Should I get the morning after pill? About how much are they? Any other ideas?

Thanks

Not taking the pill doesn't affect you straight away, so you should be ok. You should probably see a doctor as soon as you can and ask for advice from someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

Only thing I can tell you is that Plan B is $45. I'm not an expert though because I just started Loestrin last Sunday so hopefully someone else comments. But if you're 2 pills away from placebo u need to refill your perscription anyway so u can ask the pharmacist!

It usually takes awhile to get pregnant after you stop taking the pill. (Depending on how long you have been taking them), So I wouldn't worry about the last two pills or becoming pregnant. But never say never and keep a close eye on your next pack.

Contact your Dr and get a "sample"of your pills...just tell them you lost a pack. A woman CAN take 3-4 pills and they are effective as a 'morning after"

it can take sperm around 36 hours to reach the egg. i'd be careful about this because its possible the sperm has already fertilized the egg by the time you take the morning after pill and it starts to take effect, as it can be quicker then 36 hours. that would cause you to have a mini-abortion! i would think thats something important if you belief life starts at conception. ask an expert to be sure. many believe the morning after pill is a form of abortion. don't have sex for a while and take a pregnancy test. if you find them i suggest not taking your birth control pills again until you find out, as that can also cause an abortion if you have already fertilized. supposedly it causes a hostile environment in the uterus thus if the embryo implants it might not stick, therefore killing the embryo... but that is debate-able. in all likelyhood your not pregnant but it doesn't hurt to be extra extra careful.
