Birth Control/Regulation Question!!!?!

Question: My doc put me on yasmine to regulate my periods (I have pcos), and i've reached the filler pill, but don't have my period yet. Am I supposed to? And should I just take the filler pills anyways, or should I continue with the pill from another months box?!?! I've never used the pill before so I have no idea about any of this. Some advice would really help! thx!!

By filler pill do you mean the non-active placebo pills?

Those are actually sugar pills void of any hormones and by having women take them they can make sure they dont forget the need to take birth control as the normal time.

However if you decide to NOT take the filler/placebo pills you are ok as long as you remember to start your new pack next week at the correct time.

It might take a couple days to start your period ... that's ok ... the sugar pills give your body a break from the hormones and time to release your mensturation ...

You can always contact your doc or pharamacist for more questions... but you're ok

AND Birth Control DOES regulate periods... :) Just give your body time to adjust to it

Get a new doctor - birth control does NOT regulate anything, it works by suppressing your periods. It might have been the right option for PCOS but if that is what he has told you then he has missinformed you, not a good trait in a doctor.

look inside the box it should have an information sheet if not then go to google and type in contraceptives it will give you the official contraceptive site and that can tell you loads of facts and advice.

You take the pills one per day at the same time each day.

Since you are just starting out, your body will need to get used to the hormones in the pill.

What did your doctor tell you to do?
