Are 2 day periods normal?!

Question: My sister is 13, and she just got her period in February. However, this month she only had it only for about 2 days.

She is definitely not pregnant. Shes a 13 year old. What could the reason for this be?

Her body is just fitting her new condition as a woman, don't worry for now on she can have irregular periods and everytime could be different. Remember that every body reacts different, so maybe is her way to adapt.
If she doesn't get regular in a year, then go and visit a doctor but there's nothing to worry about.

At that age your cycles haven't quite regulated themselves yet. A two day long period is normal.

periods take months to become regular. eventually hers will become regular.

she is just starting out so it will take time for her body to get on a regular cycle

i just got mine and had one for 3 days. when you first start out, its not regular

periods are normally irregular or really short when you've just started its nothing to worry about :)

For the first year or so, periods can be very irregular. It's not uncommon that a girl could skip a month altogether if she recently started her cycle. There's no problem now, but if this continues in the future, then she should see a doctor.

Sometimes when you first start, your periods are very irregular.

Don't worry about her. It's perfectly fine!

Thats normal - periods are usually irregular when you first start.

My first period lasted 11 days and the second one lasted just 3.
Now they're almost completely regular :]
So no worries! Her body is just establishing its cycle.

I think at the age of 13 and only just starting her life cycle... its not too much to worry about. I started off having really horrible 7 day ones and now mine are 4 weekly 4/5 day ones... it takes a while for them to settle... but if you are unsure or your sister is in any pain, then go see a doctor.
They can always run some tests just to ensure everythings fine... Also talk to your mum... I hate to say it but mum's know everything and most mums are honoured when thier daughters feel able to chat with them about these things!
Hope this helps.

Minimum 3 days .Could be A MISCALCULATION..The days in many people it gets changed.WAIT AND SEE IN Apr.Better note it for health point of view. Many girls are like your sister.

I'm 30 and have had 2 to 3 day period all my life!!

For the first year or so periods are irregular i used to have one every 5 months or so, it's completely normal and theres nothing to worry about
