Yeah they should settle down after a while. But i have heard that some people only ovulate and menstruate once every other month as their fallopian tubes don't function properly, like one works and the other doesn't therefore only having one period every two months
Yes it is okay, irregular periods are a problem when you are trying to conceive, but having a period a couple of times a year can be normal for a person too. Periods can settle down though and get more regular. If it becomes a problem for you - like trying to conceive or you get other syptoms, like pain at certain times of the month then go see a doctor.

I wouldn't mind that. It's not too far off the mark. Many girls have irregular periods for a few years.
Personally, I've been looking forward to menopause for over 30 years.
