I'm Kind of like klay I started when I was 11 four feet eleven inches an it was on a Sunday and I was in church I was about 115 LBs and was kind of scared
I was 11 when I had my first period. Bought my first bra about then or about year prior to that also.

I have a friend who got hers at 8 and another one who was almost 16, it varies from girl to girl
Lets see, I'm pretty sure I got my period because my ovaries matured. I was 8 when it happened.

I always went to my friends house for lunch since it was around the corner from the school. I went to the bathroom and I peed blood. I freaked out. Anyway that's how it started! I was so ashamed that I refused to tell my mom so my best friends mom bought me a bunch of pads and all the stuff I needed, about 6 months later my mom found pads in my purse.
I'm now 21 and still hate periods, no longer ashamed of them but they're still a pain.
Height and weight has a big role in it. I was 5'6 in 6th grade and weighed 115 (and no! I'm not fat!)- Usually tiny people it comes later. I was lucky, it was a Sunday, so I wasn't in school. Just be prepared because I know people who go to school and they stand up covered and never live it down...so...

I was 10 when I got my first period....and for 10 years I've been wishing my body would take it back ever since.
Don't worry - you'll get your period eventually. Some start as early as 9, some start as late as 19. Enjoy your period free years while you can. You'll be hating it when you have it.
I was 12 and I really wasnt expecting to get it soon. I was at this party, and when i went to the bathroom I saw this brown spot on my undies and i just ignored it. Then, the second time i went to the bathroom it was bigger, i though i pooped myself!! I was so scared that something was wrong with me. The next day i told my mom and she told me i got my period!! =]
I think i was 12 or 13 when i first started mines, it was almost 10 years ago anyway.
Don't panic, all girls are different and whats normal for someone else may not be normal for you!
Make the most of not having them cos when you do get them you'll wish you never did LOL Theres nothing exciting or glamorous about periods, thats for sure!

It was a week or two after my 12th b-day and I noticed it when I was going to the bathroom. I wiped myself and it was bloody. I used my mom's pads for the first couple of periods until I figured out how to use tampons. Been using tampons since, they're more comfortable than pads once you learn how to put them in right.
I was 14 and I dont remember exactly when it started but i noticed there was pink fluid in my underwear and a few weeks later I had my period
I got my period right after I turned thirteen. I was so PMSing the day before. The next morning when I was getting ready for school, I saw some blood in my undies. Luckily for me, that's the only time in the last four years that I've had PMS or anything even close to it.

I was 12 1/2. My first one was very peaceful. I didn't see it coming, but I was a little cranky beforehand. It was really light, and I didn't mind it.
