1. 14
2. Cramp does, but you don't feel the actual period
3. Pad to start with
4. Keep yourself clean, every 2 hours ish
5. just be straight with her, say mum I've started, i need protection
6. You get used to it
7. every month, but they can be very irregular for about 2 years.

youll probably start around that time no it doesnt hurt allways ue pads never tampons change them everyday also take a shower and wash your face so that you dont get pimples "mom im on my period" it will feel wet and ull no when your on it andyou dont have to preactice using pads but go ahead if you want to.

1. one month before i became 13
2. only the cramps hurt

5. she asked me
6. yes

1.12 years and 6 months
2. no not really for me
3. pad
4. every few hours
5. i just told her as soon as i knew
6. yes
7. every 28 days but they are usually irregular at first

dont worry about it we all have to go through it x

i got mi period wen i was twelve. having your period doesnt actually hurt its just the cramps that get you. pads are way better if you are just starting your period, and you can learn how to use them before you even get your period. they should be changed about every 4 hours, although sometimes more if you hav a heavy flow. you may want to use a pantyliner now to get used to pads and protect your underwhere from discharge. as for telling mi mom i just flat out told her.

1) I started at 13 (same as my mum)
2) No not at all! Unless you get period pains while your on, that can be a bummer :P
3) Pad
4) Atleast every 4 hours or you start to smell fishy
5) Honestly i just walked up to her and sed "mum ive started my period".
6) Personally i didnt but you will get used to wearing one.
7) Every 28 days but sometimes.

You could.

1.) IDK
2.) No the period doesn't but the cramps that come along with it do.
3.) either I think pad.
4.) Depends if there heavy or not.
5.) I said "I think I started my period.".
6.) If you want.
7.) between the ages of 8-16.

Good luck and you can always google it that helped me.

That's the same situation with my friend, that always happens and she gets all excited but she doesn't get her period. you just have to be patient. You're lucky, once you get your period, its just a pain in the butt.

1. I just started when i was almost 14
2. They don't hurt, but you might feel uncomfortable.
3. Use a pad when you first start. Ask if you can use tampons because there's a chance you could get TSS if you don't use it properly. (Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a serious but uncommon bacterial infection)
4. Pads= like every 6 hours or so, depending on how your period is, tampons= every 4-6 hours
5. It took me a while to get the courage to be like "yeah i got my period." but i just said it.
6. Pads are simple, you just stick then on your underwear, but with tampons, on the inside of the box there are usually directions. There's pressure taking them out if you don't have your period cause its dry..
7. Your period can be irregular where is happens whenever, but usually is every month 3-6 days.

you could start any time between now and when you're 18, but considering your mum and sister, it will probably be within the next 2 years.

1. 12
2. it is different for every girl and women, but most commonly, you have cramps a couple of days before and for the first couple of days of your period, which feels like someone squeezing your lower tummy for about 2-5 seconds then releasing. Not very nice but it doesn't last for long.
3. I personally prefer tampons because you can get on with your life more easily, but when i first started, i wore pads for about a year before changing to tampons.
4. pads need to be changed every 3-4 hours, tampons every 4-8.
5. i got her by herself and told her, she was really unembarrassed so don't worry!
6. you can practice using pads as much as you want, but not tampons because it will hurt. It is a good idea to try pads, they are completely unnoticeable to others but a bit uncomfy at first so do practice.
7. you get your period once about once a month, but for the first couple of years, most girls are irregular, which means their periods are not every month. When i first started mine were about every month and a half. They can happen any time of the day, and start of quite light, but become heavier usually later that day.

good luck with everything and don't be embarrassed to ask your mum or sister about any other questions- don't forget- theyve been through it all too!

yes you could start soon if u have discarge it usually comes 6-months to a year from you first start getting discharge.......

1. 12
2. no, but the cramps sure do
3. i like and use both
4. it depends on how heavy your flow is.... if heavy: every 1 or 2 hours ..... light: 3 or 4 hours
5. i called her and told her becase i started at my grandma's house during the summer i said mom i started my period.
6. yes, but make sure you take the tampon rite out but it mite hurt because its dry
7. about every month but sumtimes they skip a month or come late if you are not regular

..... hope i helped e-mail me if u need more help heres a great site for you to go to also ....... www.beinggirl.com

gud luk

1. 10 years old
2. No unless you cramp up. If you do have cramp a heating pad works great and now they have heating pads you can walk around with away from home. You can also take Midol. It always helps me.
3. I would use a pad for your first few cycles. I would only use a tampon if you have to.
4. Pad- you will definetley know when it needs to be changed. It also depends on how light or heavy your flow is.
Tampon- you need to change your tampon within 8 hours of inserting it. I would do it every 5 hours. You will also be able to tell when you need to change your tampon depending on your flow.
5. I started in the bathroom at school so I waited until I got home and let her know and we wne to the store together and got pads.
6 NEVER ever use a tampon when you are not on your period.
7. When you get your period depends on your body. Since everyones body is different, each individual will start at different ages.

I hope this has helped you. Have a nice day.

You could start by maybe asking your mom and sisters stuff if it helps and if you're comfortable with that. You will have discharge up to three years before your first period, so yes, you may start soon. You can delay your period if you're very athletic, but that really rarely happens. Some girls also NEVER get their periods, although this is a very rare disease. If you're 18 and still haven't started you should go to the doctor. You should also check out~

1) I'm about to turn 14 and I got my period for the first time in February.
2) The actual period will feel like dripping or wetness in your underwear, but it won't hurt. Only the cramps will hurt, if you get them at all. If you DO get cramps, try a heating pad or hot water bottle on the cramp, or a hot bath will help as well. You could also take Ibuprofen, Advil, or something along the lines of that, or Midol. I take Advil, but my friend sears my Midol, so take your pick.
3) I wear o.b. tampons during the day (http://www.obtampons.com/) and Always Overnight Pads at night. If I don't want to wear a tampon one day when I'm just at home not doing anything (which rarely happens) I wear Always Slender with Flexi-Wings.
4) A pad should be changed every four hours to however long you sleep for, and a tampon should be changed every two to eight hours. If the thing you're using is soaked in less that two hours, go up an absorbency. If it's not in eight, go down an absorbency.
5) I e-mailed my mom and told her.
6) You can practice with a pad, but never insert a tampon if you're not on your period. It will greatly increase your risk of getting TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome).
7) Periods happen about every month, but for the first few years it's normal for you to get one like twice in one year. A cycle is the number of days from the beginning of your first period to the beginning of the next. Feel free to email or message me at erwheeler@sbcglobal.net or cheepmunc@yahoo.com. I'm always on one of them.
