I use o.b. tampons during the day and Always Overnight with Flexi-Wings at night. I sleep in the Always Overnight with Flexi-WIngs, as I mentioned above. (http://www.always.com/) I use o.b. tampons, and have been using them for about three months now. (http://www.obtampons.com/) I used to use Playtex Sport and they were alright, but I like o.b. much better. I think they're way more comfortable. I think Playtex Sport is a good brand of tampon for active girls, but I dance ballet six days a week, about three hours a day, and I love o.b. tampons. I'm built very small so they work great for me. My mom, aunt, and cousins all use the o.b. ones now too and we will never use another kind again. I use the Always Overnight Pads with Flexi-Wings at night, but if I wake up one morning and I'm just going to be lying around doing my homework or something and feel like wearing just a pad, then I wear the Always Slender with Flexi-Wings. I go for pads with wings because I like them better. If you have a "smell problem" if you know what I mean, you could change your pad or tampon more often or try a scented one, although those tend to irritate a lot of girs. i love tampax pearls for everything. even to sleep in. just make sure you change it every 8 hours to avoid TSI (you have to do this with all tampons). Any tampon is good for an active girl. You won't spring a leak unless your tampon is used up. I use Always pads with wings. It keeps them in place and you'll never leak onto your undies.

Tampax is a trusted brand.... just be sure to use the right size... only use the size for the amt of flow you have ... small to light use a light slender tampon .. this reduces the risk of tss.... as far as pads if the flow is heavy kotex overnights .... perfect... light but normal ... always with wings for the protection and clean feeling u want.. you can get a body spray and wipes to help also during that time... hope this helps

I use both tampons and pads that way i don't leak. I actually use Playtex sport and I am not an active girl, but for me they are just more comfortable. Personally I sleep in an overnight pad they are longer so that way your less likely to leak. As far as pads it dependes on how heavy your periods are, I use regular Always Pads with wings. Once again because I'm always afraid of leaking.
To find products that work best for you, you might want to just try different things and see what feels most comfortable...even though the thought of being comfortable during your period sounds like a joke...even to me. :)
I use pads. I have tampons, I haven't used tampons yet. Want to. I use Stayfree drymax ultrathins with wings. They are SUPER dry, and less bulky than Always. I'll never use always since I used Stayfree.

I've heard sports are good, but I've always thought a tampon was a tampon. Of course, I haven't tried them yet. Search online for reviews.
