What can I buy to make penetration less painful?!

Question: I am 20 years old and have had several boyfriends. I have tried to have sex multiple times but have never been able to successfully have intercourse. I don't believe it was due to lack of arousal or being uncomfortable.
Each time, he was simply unable to get his penis inside of me due to extreme pain on my end.
I'm looking to buy some sort of sex toy that I could use on myself to hopefully loosen myself up and become more comfortable before I try having sex again.
Unfortunately I do not really know where to begin. Any help?

Sweetheart when something like this happens you are better going to your own GP, if you have a doctor who is a male you could always ask to see a female doctor.

Ask her to examine you to see if the problem is caused medically, you could try buying a slim vibrator and also some Ky Jelly and using plenty of KY for lubrication see how you get on with that. You can also buy vaginal dilators which might help but see you doctor first..

You mention that you have never been able to have intercourse successfully if when you partner tries to enter you he physically cannot enter it may be a physiological reaction that make the muscles of you vagina tighten up.
If you use tampons then that not may be the case, the other thing you could is look for a Marie Stopes clinic in the phone book or on on the net they should be able to help you.

I wish all the luck in sorting out your problem

Well have you tried extra lubrication? I would think that would be best. Also they make a large variety of dildos from small to large, find one that fits you well and give it a try with extra lube, you'll get there, good luck

p.s. Don't try lidocaine thinking that will help, it won't, trust me

Hi there
Some women find that teh muscles around the opening of the vagina contract so much tehy can hardly use tampons or have full intercourse. The condition is termed vaginismus.Over a period of time the woman could learn to allow small things like a finger to penetrate the vagina and then build up to other things. It is worth checking that you dont have a sexually transmitted infection (some might stay around without causing symptoms) through your local gum clinic. All tests and appointments are confidential. It is also worth looking at possible psychological causes to the tightness during intercourse.Try to speak to your gp or practice nurse.Dont be embarrassed they have dealt with many different things

It sounds like you just won't let yourself go through with it. Sex for the first time was extremely painful for me, and it took a while for him to get inside of me. You just need to try again and just let him break your hymen, it'll be less painful after that. And also like the others said, you may want to use extra lube just in case.

there are a variety of reasons that you could be having problems. it's too long for me to list them all, but check out this link - it's lists quite a few.

play around b4 u do it, instead of gettin straight to the action....it helps
and make sure your comfortible with the person your doin it with

try plenty of lubricant such as k.y. jell. also plenty of foreplay prior to penitration, and try to relax.

If you have a regular OB Dr. please explain to him or her what's going on. In a majority of the cases a disorder called: Vaginsumus reflex. It's very similar to a person seeing something heading toward their eye and blinking. An involuntary response if you may. Please speak to the pros. This is a very manageable and treatable disorder.

Good luck to you.
