Lumps, pimple like, on my private area?!

Question: Ive gotten them from time to time before.
I've had 3 in different stops that come and go within 2 days. they feel very pimple like and dont hurt unless i touch them. I used to shave down there, but i haven't had time. They are just a "lump", no coloring to them.
I am sexual active but have gotten these pimple like bumps before having sex. I also had him tested for STDs before we had relations. I've only been with him.
I'll be here for a bit to answer anything else i shoulda posted.
Thanks

If you aren't shaving, these are unlikely to be ingrown hairs. If they are like pimples, they may actually be pimples. You can get them anywhere on your body.

I would suggest wearing cotton or other breathable fabrics around the area and be sure to keep the area clean. Pay special attention when you are showering to make sure you keep the area as oil free as possible. If THAT doesn't work, you might talk to a dermatologist or your primary doctor.

ew

go check with a doctor

A recent study at a large high school found that 60% of the sexually active seniors had STD's of one type or another. Imagine what the rate is for older singles.

STD's are everywhere these days. Both men and women can carry and transmit STD's, even if the men do not have any (or as many) symptoms as do women.

STD's can be very hard to diagnose correctly. Go to a gynacologist or urologist who is agressive about STD testing. Call and ask this before making an appointment.

You should both go, together if possible. Both of you should also be tested, of course.

If you are getting married, this is a proper step in becoming a couple and learning to handle health issues together.

Most STD's respond well to treatment, but waiting is never a good idea.
