just go out to your mom and tell her she gets them aswell we all do no need to be embarrassed
II'm so sorry (At least it's not at school!) . Isolate your mother and plain out say it...there's really no other way and she's female too.
its cool tell your mom first cause your dad might not know what to do. its fine just tell your mom and ask for a pad :)
and if you start having cramps take moltrin or put something hot/warm on your lower stomach

Say mum I think I just started my period or dad (this is really embarrasing) but i think i started my period.
I just came right out and said it... i was kind of shocked at myself.. i know it seems hard but you have to spare yourself the embarrassment . just close your eyes and say it and after a few minutes you will realize it wasnt that big of a deal.
ask your mom if you can talk to her in private... tell her u just got your period and she will help u out with pads or tampons and stuff...
when i got mine for the first time, i didnt tell my mom for a month afterwards... and she was mad i hadnt told her immediately.
so just tell her.
"Mom, I got my period today"
Its not so hard. Mom's have/had periods too.
