Girls please help me?!

Question: I think my hymen might completely cover my vagina.... Im not 100% sure what Ive been looking at when I look in the mirror but Im pretty sure my hymen completly covers the hole and Im worried that that has been the cause of me getting cramps and being moody once a month and not get my period and having severe back problems..... Im afraid to tell my mom because she doesnt know I even know what the heck a hymen is. Can someone please give me a link to a diagram so I can check one last time to see if my hymen completely covers the vagina. Im actually kind of scared......

When i had my first daughter she had the same problem. We only knew this because her's was swollen and full of fluid so it bulged out. They had to take her to surgery and do a minor cut in it to relieve the fluids. It was an easy procedure and she has had no problems as of now. You need to ask your mom if you can get a pap smear and have a doctor take a look. All girls need one eventually. Mom's are usually cooler than you think. Find the courage to ask, you may be suprised. Good luck.

there are both pictures and diagrams on this wikipedia page. Maybe you should do some self exploring, get yourself a good lubricant and start searching around and feeling what's what. Don't be too concerned about your mum, you could just tell her that you are worried about not having your period yet and ask her to take you to a doctor. A doctor will definately be able to clear up for you whether you need to be worried or not. But it's more than likely that just like many other girls, you are just having trouble identifying whats what.

You're NORMAL. You just need to stop obsessing! You're creating a problem that isn't there.

EDIT: You could be getting ready to start your period, which is completely normal for your age. Or your symptoms could be psychosomatic- meaning that once you realize that you're normal, they'll probably go away. And by the way, masturbation has nothing to do with it.

Usually the hymen doesn't break until you have sex. But sometimes the hymen has been broke before sex, due to masturbation. Obviously there is still a hole because a virgin still gets her period.

A hymen is the thin piece of tissue that partially blocks the entrance to the vagina.

hope this helps.

If you're just looking at it with the mirror, it will look like there's something covering it, but it's only because your vagina tilts back at an angle, so you're actually seeing part of the vaginal wall-the hymen is higher up! If you've ever had ANY kind of bleeding, then your hymen doesn't cover it completely, or else the blood couldn't get out.

Honestly, just tell your Mom if you're really scared. She'll understand. Just tell her that you were confused and worried so you did some research and think that maybe you should talk to a Doctor about it. I know it seems really scary now, but your Mom isn't going to judge you or be mad at you. Mom's love us and want to help us, especially when it's our health.

Good luck hun!

You shouldn't worry about it too much but if you are really concerned, tell your mum. xx
