First of all, don't sweat it. The doc will have you pee in a cup to check for protein (diabetes) and other substances. Then they will probably take your weight, height, and blood pressure, etc... After all that they will have you go into the room where you will be examined, and you'll take off your clothes and get into this little robe. The doc will come in and you'll talk about your health history. After that they'll probably do a breast exam, then a pelvic exam, where they'll place your feet in stirrups and insert this thing that looks like a duck's bill, and then they'll feel around inside you. After that they'll swab your cervix to check for any abnormal cells (it usually takes about a week to get these results back). Some doctors also do a rectal exam, to check the positioning of your uterus. After all that the doc will prescribe you a birth control (after talking about all of the options). After that you get dressed and you're outta there! It's not painful, more embarassing than anything else. =)
