No, do not break it, it would be more painful than sex. It isn't really split in half and broken. It's more torn and you can't really notice. There may be a slight bit of blood, but no visible tear. You stretch. To find it though, lie down with your legs spread and have a hand mirror beside you, you can open your lips of your vagina and carefully spread your vagina with the mirror infront of you. If you see a flab of skin that's tightened near the hole,that is your hymen. However, just leave it to whom ever is taking your virginity, it will be less painful than you doing it. If you're still worried about pain, then I would start masturbation. Use one finger, then two, then three, and then maybe move to a hair brush. This will allow you to stretch. Do not do all this in one day or it will hurt. You have to gradually stretch yourself out. This would allow less pain for you when you have sex. I would start masturbating one week with one finger then the next two..etc. Hope that helps. Oh, and of course, use a condom!
