Is something wrong with my friend??!

Question: I have a friend who's mother died 6 months ago. Ever since that day, she hasn't gotten her period (she's 16 years old). She seems to be ok, and she really is fine, but she's not getting her period... We think it could be caused because of stress built up or lack of sleep... but we don't really know what...
Will she be ok?

*she's not pregnant*

It happens...especially under stress. For example, when I was in military basic training I didn't get my period the whole time and not for months after I graduated. It's just your body's natural reaction. Your body senses that you/your body is too stressed to even consider supporting another life. Your friend is fine, she'll get it back in time.

this sounds unrealistacally and I have no idea what to say. Just tell her to take a pregnancy test....wait it's been 6 months and her stomach would be showing. Hmm..I guess she needs to go to a doctor to find out what's wrong with her. I have a feeling she really is NOT pregnant.

well i have heard of girls skipping their period for 1-2 months but 6 months seems like a really long time....if she is on any birth control it could cause her not to have her period or for her period to be really light other than that idk what it could be i would go to the doctor or at least call one.
