i'm assuming you haven't had sex yet ok..
so i'm 13 as well and i have irregular periods too
my mom said that when you first get your period it should be irregular so don't worry as long as your period comes by 2 months you should be fine you should only worry if your period hasn't comed in half a year which would be 6 months
go see a doctor if that happens

If you've been having unprotected sex, you should tell your mom.

But since you didn't mention that, women's periods don't start to normalize for a few months to a few years. Nothing to worry about

it could be if you are too skinny, or too physically active, it could also be from stress, or also several other random things. However if you don't get it soon i would go to the doctor... assuming that you have had it for a few months before in your life

have you had sex?
if yes... THEN you have to worry.

In the first couple years, your timing is going to be all screwy.
hey... i've had my period for a long time and the timing is STILL never completely right.

dont worry about it,

If you're having unprotected sex and you think you may be pregnant, like, seriously, you should tell your mom.
But some if not most young girls periods are really crazy. Mine were sometimes 6 months apart and one time I had it for 2 straight months! They put me on the pill and now I get it the same hour on the same day 21 days apart. It's nice.
Talk to your mom.

1st question: Do you have regular (monthly) or irregular (happens more than 2 mos.) menstruation? If you have regular menses you expect it every month, but if you have irregular menses then timing is a little erratic. Some women have it once every 2 months, some even more than 2 mos.
2nd: Are you sexually active? Did you have sex for the past 2-3 mos.? Of course a pregnancy is a possibility.
3rd: Are you in a lot of stress recently? This could affect your menstrual cycle.
4th: Do you feel anything else (symptoms) like abdominal pain, etc.? If you have any then you must tell your parents so they can accompany you to a Gynecologist?

Also there are some conditions that affect menses like Polycystic Ovaries or if you have problems in your hormones. I know a friend that take medications to correct her condition. So it's really better to go to a Gynecologist. I hope this helps. -dennisMD
