This is embarrassing, but is it ok to itch "down there"?!

Question: I use tampons and am sexually active. But I itch really bad. There are no bumbs or rashes. It look normal, but it itches so bad. How can I get it to stop itching and what is causing it? Could I be allergic to tampons?? Is that possible?

Sorry this is so embarrasing, but I'm miserable and I just want it to stop.

You may have a Yeast Infection.
You should go to the doctor and check it out.
Does your Vagina has a smell that you dont recognize to it?
If so,you may have one.
Just go check it out.
And yeah,you may be allergic.
If your Tampons are scented,you shouldnt be using them.

question...do you shave
if you do it might be from shaving i get like that sometimes
if not you might want to see a dr. it could be a reaction to tampons and it could be harmful to keep using them

You could have thrush or something along those lines. Look it up on google and see what the best treatments are because you'll probably be too embarrassed to go to your doctor about it so maybe just buy an over the counter treatment.

could be hormones causing a change in pH. could be an allergy to tampons. if you're using scented tampons, try using unscented tampons. try sleeping in just tshirts and no undies to let it air out. use some vagisil or hydrocortisone cream to relieve the itching and schedule a trip to the doc.

No. I remember my first boy friend liked it when I scratched myself 'down there'. Although looking back now I assume he thought I was masturbating, and that was why he was convinced it would be OK to rape me. I enjoyed it, but he was 27 and I was 15 so he was still labeled a 'rapist' and sent to prison. ;-;

you may be allergic to tampons or have yeast infection--go to your dr--he can give you a presrip for infection and advise you about tampons--it is not something to wait around with--it can get really bad and even more embarrasing.
