The pill & sex drive?!
Question: My hubby and I have an amazing relationship, we've been married for 3 years and are a young couple.
We dont want kids & i've been taking the pill for over 2 years now.
i've only now discovered that maybe my interest in sex has dropped because of the pill. I've read from other women that it might be the case.
Has anyone out there experiencing or has experienced any of it?

exactly the same as me!! all the detail... except i stopped taking the pill, and WOW... my sex drive is like an animal!!!!! he can't keep up with me... i need it 3 times a day!!!!! get off the pill,, you'll see your life will be 10 times better in every single way imaginable!!!!!!! good luck and try it for at leaast 3 months... (p.s. condoms arent that bad :P )
The pill has been shown to cause decreased sex drive in women due to the changes in hormones that it causes. There are many different pills with varying hormone combinations that work different ways. They will also effect you differently. You can try another pill, and may have a better experience.
I have been taking the pill for years off and on between 2 kids and it has killed my sex drive. Dead. I told my hubby he needs to get fixed now because we are done having kids. Maybe try an IUD without hormones. Or you could try a low dose pill if you don't already take one, but it's not the same as being hormone free.
That's strange, My sex drive increased a whole lot once I got on the pill.

Mine's pretty much dead while I'm on the pill as well. But even when I'm NOT on BC, I don't have that much of a sex drive...except when I'm ovulating. Then it's through the roof! At least I shouldn't have problems knowing when to have sex when we're ready to have babies...
So no, low sex drive on the pill isn't abnormal at all.
The pill is probably the reason why you have a low sex drive. When did you first discover your sex drive has been low? When you first started taking the pill or just recently? I was in your situation and tried everything to get a better sex drive and put the spark back.
