it could be. my lower back is where i always cramp, and it normally starts before i start my period. but normally its aonly a few days to a week before. if it is isolated more to the side and a little higher that the low low back, it could be your kidneys. if it is period pain, try using a hot towel or heat pad or something. even a hot shower/bath. hope i helped!
yes it is either menstaulation or wieght gain.

It does mean it's close. I experience back ache about a week before my period. Many women do, so it's very natural...
You may have pulled something, not much the doc can do, but.... a hotwater bottle, or ice pack can relieve the pain, or alternate both. Don't just curl up and hope it goes away, you get all stiff and it gets worse. If it is period pain then a hotwater bottle will soothe that too.
