Birth control (the pill)?!

Question: i just started taking birth control. i was wondering if any of these things might alter the effectiveness of the pill....
*5 hour energy drink: http://www.5hourenergy.com/QandA.asp
*over-the-counter meds, like tylenol,advil,etc
& these prescriptions
*sulfacet-r wash (it's for acne): http://www.drugs.com/mtm/sulfacet-r.html
*benzaclin gel (also for acne) http://www.benzaclin.com/

sorry if my question sounds dumb, but a dumb question is the one that's unasked. my biggest concern is my prescriptions for acne; they're not oral. i don't THINK they'll effect use of the pill, but i'm not positively sure.

Ive been on the same pill as you for nearly a year. Antibiotics would interfere with it, but none of the stuff you listed should do anything.
I used to use Benzaclin too, but right after starting the ortho-lo I became alergic to it, so if you start getting a rash from it, stop using the benzaclin!!! It will itch like CRAZY and the rash will be there for days. The Benzaclin and ortho-lo together could cause this reaction for you too, so be careful. It wont affect the effectiveness of the pill though.
The energy drink would only affect you if you had 5 hours of nonstop sex cause u had so much energy, and forgot to take the pill :)

Ive been on birht control for some years now and have never had a problem with other meds. or anything else, the only thing i know can affect it is alcohol, and going to the bathroom too much, if you diarreah or something, it can make it inaffective, but to be really sure just ask your health care provider, im just answering from experience.
