How Do You Unwrap A Pad Without Noise? (Girls Only)?!
Question: This is a bizzare maybe weird question I've had for some time now. Whenever I get my period and I go to unwrap a pad, it makes so much noise! Like, well thanks for letting everyone else know. Does any girl here know ways to open a pad wrapper without it making tons of noise? Any techniques?

kotex makes these rappers that are designed to not make noise. theyre not plastic they almost feel like paper but like cloth.
i always do it fast coz its over and done with

Lol. When i'm in a school bathroom I usually hear people opening their pads. I'm also like you I don't like people to hear me opening mine. Sometime I wait for everyone to leave the bathroom or sometimes BEST IDEA EVER....flush the toilet and open the pad....the flushing of toilet noise will cover up the unwrapping of pad noise. Simple as that.

Well i doubt that anyone will actually notice but if u don't want people to know just slowly open it. You can also use tampons because they don't make any noise.

I usually don't worry, because you're probably not in a coed bathroom. Every girl has to deal with it. They're not going to make fun of you because your pad wrapper is loud, they're all loud.
Use a tampon. They are relatively quiet and quicker to open. You also don't have to rip the cover off the sticky stuff.

i usually just flush the toilet ... or like , cover the pad in my shirt to muffle the sound .
but usually i just use tampons ... they're soo much better.
they have certain pads that dont have that type of wrapper around it.....its sum other type of material like a cloth/paper type.....and those hardly make any noise
There isn't really a way to prevent the sound. Pad wrappers aren't designed to be silent. They are designed to keep the pad cleaned and easy to carry around in a purse. Just open it fast. No one will really care. It's just a fact of life. I used to be really self conscious of it when I was younger but there's really no avoiding it. Why not try a menstrual cup like the Instead SoftCup or the Keeper? The Keeper, DivaCup and MoonCup (all very similar) are reusable so you don't have to open wrappers whenever you change it like you would a pad or tampon. If you wish to keep using pads then you just have to get used to the fact that others may hear you but we all deal with it. When I'm in a public bathroom I often don't even pay attention to what anyone else is doing. I just do what I need to and get out.
i would not worry about the noise. if your at school the all the girls have a period so they are not giving you a second thought and i doubt any one is listening at the bath room door to hear you.
