My ankles have swollen up for no apparent reason?!

Sometimes eating a lot of salty items or drinking items that have a lot of salt can cause swelling in the ankles (an example only). Hormones such as around the time of the period could do this (another example only), but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
