The perfect period?!

Question: I was unlucky enough to have gotten my period the night before I had day surgery. The strangest thing... It was the lightest, shortest one I can remember. No cramps or back pain either, but I attribute that to the pain killers.

I had general anesthesia, vistril, zofran, and Scopolamine for nausea; oxycodone for pain and a nerve block. It was shoulder/rotator cuff surgery. Which med contributed to the good fortune?

I think it was the oxycodone.

If you want to lighten your period when it gets really bad, you can take 2-3 tylenol every 3-4 hours for a day and it will work. My mom taught me that when I was in high school and I would get really heavy and long lasting periods.

u should have consulted ur Dr instead of conducting a exam here

yeah that last girl was very rude... anyway, I am not sure about the shortness but definitely the Oxy probably helped with the pain. It may have been short because your body was under a lot of stress... Sometimes when you are stressed you either miss your period or it is shorter. That is my experience anyway!

Maybe it was a mind of matter thing.....your mind knew your body had enough to deal with so it blessed you with the perfect period.

My gyno actually gave me oxycodone for my period cramps. I take about 1/2 of one each month when I start and it helps so much without giving me that "drugged" feeling.
