For women.. regarding vaginas.?!

Question: Do women find the scent of their vaginas sexy or embarassing or what ? I see vaginal wipes and things for sale and don't understand why.. a simple wash with water is enough.. why pollute youself with deodorants and chemicals ? I personally love the scent of a woman.. what's the deal ??

For decades it was the norm for women to douche and "perfume" their pelvic regions. There are even old ads about douching with Lysol, if you can believe it!

Since then it's become clear that most chemicals---even soap and lubricant---can have detrimental effects on the vagina, leading to infections, discharge, itching, and so on. However, most of today's women were raised by yesterday's, and not everyone has gotten the memo. Since these products still sell, they stay on the shelves---and no retailer ever lost a buck telling a woman she could smell better or be more attractive (or, really, that she smells bad and is ugly, the true message of 98% of feminine hygiene and beauty products---terrible, eh?).

We like to be clean =)

It's not exactly lady-like to smell like a vagina! lol

i have crotch rot

I think I smell fine. I think some women must have a problem with the way they smell or these companies wouldn't be in business!

Edit: You are correct about disturbing the balance. Older ladies think its ok to use douches...its not. My dr told me they tend to give you infections, thus leading to more douching (for the older women who use them) then they think that the infection and smell is gone, when really the smell is just masked for a few days, then when it comes back they use the same product again and again....thus keeping the companies in business. I wouldn't ever use those things, and no woman should according to my dr.

well sometimes when a girl gets a vaninal infection it really smells. thats why there are wipes and all of that crap.

Well, one reason I can think of is that washing the vagina out with even plain water can cause a yeast infection, which supposedly comes with an awful smell. :)

Now, personally, I don't think my vagina smells like anything. Or, at least, I've never gone to any measures to smell it, but there's nothing unusual about it. I mildly clean it in the shower and I'm perfectly happy.

some woman find it disgusting...aslong as you don't smell like a dead animal or aslong your not crawling with creatures...but to each her own...

SICK!

Unfortunately the media have convinced women that none of the odors of their bodies is normal. I have a feeling, though, that if women didn't wash "down there" that you wouldn't like the odor much either.

To a man the scent is alluring, to a woman it is not. Some women who are not in touch with their unique sexuality are concerned they have an odor and since they do not find it appealing, they are afraid others will find it offensive. most women understand that the scent is composed of pheromones and female musk that men find irresistible if it is clean. I personally do not find my musk offensive and do not find the musk of men anything but sexy and appealing, but then i am in touch with my sexual nature.

Actually, most women do not give a great deal of thought towards their vagina's.

I find all those commercials VERY annoying. I mean, I really don't need my husband thinking about all the awful things that can happen to your who-haha.

The smell of a vaginal area depends on where you are in your cycle, your own discharges, both vaginal and oil gland secretions, and bacterial content both good and bad. My advice is no deorderants because it can change your normal bacterial and give one a bad infection which are difficult to treat. A mild soap is usually good enough. See an GYN doctor if one feels it is too offensive.

Any time of the day their sexy. I love my wife and her scents to death.

Women loves to feel clean and smell good but you're right those things even they're suppose to clean women's vagina it sometimes gives irritation but since we urinate it still better to use wipe. I guess you know how urine smells. I'm sure you won't like the scent of urine. Lol!

It totally depends on the woman. Some love their scent, some hate it, and some don't care either way. Anyway, it's awesome that you've liked the scents of the women you've been with so far, but you may find that not all women smell so desirable, and that's why they use them.

well I just use soap and water lol.....
i think the vaginal wipes are just there when there really is something wrong with the vagina...and the it doesnt exactly smell like roses down there =P but its still sexy!

Women know when to use the wips. You smell nothing,so the wipes are working....
