Paraguard IUD info please?!

I had the paraguard and enjoyed it for the most part. I cant remember to take a pill and the hormones make me spawn of satan ( not good) and so it was a good choice for me. I got it removed about a month and a half ago ( thinking about trying for # 3 ) and removal..well its not comfy. ( like a REALLY bad contraction cramp) but the pain subsides after about 20 min.
I did have a good bit of cramping and have heard from others it can make your period long/heavier but I dont know as I am nursing my son and have not gotten my period back yet...
I have also heard rumors that instead of just preventing pregnancy, it naturally "aborts" an attatched embryo.Im not sure about that so dont quote me. Im still trying to find out the truth about that!

The Paraguard IUD works by interfering with the sperms ability to fertilize an egg. Other actions by intrauterine devices thought to help women avoid pregnancy is the body thinking that it is pregnant because of the presence of the device in the uterus. Either way the device is an effective means of birth control.
