IM GETTTING SURGERRRY ON APRIL.7th?!
Question: im getting an exploratory appendectmy apperently it is a fairly routine surgery but im only 16 and im scared they told me i will be there for one night then at my next appointment they were like at least 2 probally 3 day i feel like the docter only tell me half the story im most likly psycing myself out but still im like freaking out here
also theres only a 50% chance this surgery will help to cure my abdomial pain that has been occuring for about 14 months

I understand how you're feeling right now, what you feel is just like what other patients felt before undergoing an operation. As member of the health team provider, it's our duty to provide comfort and clear understanding to patients like you. I would suggest you'll ask questions to your doctor, nurse, and other care provider regarding the operations, i'm sure you will be oriented to the pre-op procedures to the post-op procedures, to the place (operating room), with the equipments to be used, to the medications, and generally to your welfare. I'm sure if you'll be more well-oriented all about it, your anxiety would decline. I hope your family is with you all the way to support you.

Don't worry! My husband had an appendectomy. It's nothing to worry about. Ask your doctor questions if you feel like he's not telling you everything. I hope your surgery goes well! God bless you
whell im not sure but i dont think doctors can lie, or tell wrong information, unless they looking for trouble. aslong as your out like a light i wouldnt worrie to much about it
