Ladies, have you ever had a urodynamics test? If you have was it painful?!
Question: I have an appointment to have one done next week. I've read up on how it's done and also the Dr was very throrough and explained to me and gave me an instructional paper of exactly what to expect, etc. I have a high pain tolerance, so I'm not too worried about that part of it.....but it sure seems to be embaressing as hell to have done. Anyone who has been through this procedure and can give me some feedback on it, is much appreciated.

I had this test .It was not painful at all.It was embarrassing!You drink lots of water,sit on a chair shaped like a public toilet(horse shoe)Then the tech put a scale and measuring cup under you and says PEE then they stick a catheter in you don't hurt it just feels funny.Then more pee ends up draining out.Then I got dressed and left.The whole thing took15minutes or so.

The tech(female(thank god) was very professional,matter of factually doing her job.She told me everything she was doing like a gynecologist does.I was the embarrassed one not her.But I was also resolved to do whatever it took to figure out my problem,and get it taken care of asap.
