Menstrual cramps are pains in the abdominal and pelvic areas that are experienced by a woman as a result of her menstrual period, the symptoms can sometimes be experienced as a continual process. Many women suffer from menstrual cramps.

Menstrual cramps can range from mild to quite severe. Mild menstrual cramps may be barely noticeable and of short duration - sometimes felt just as a sense of light heaviness in the belly. Severe menstrual cramps can be so painful that they interfere with a woman's regular activities for several days.

It's normal to experience them before you are actually on your period as a little warning sign that your period is coming, try a hot water bottle, light exercise and stretching, massaging where it hurts, lying down and lifting your knees to your chest or some pain killers.

Normal. I normally get cramps before then none while im on

Yes this is quite normal. We women experience alot of extreme variations...some have no pain, while others are layed up in bed in the fetal position (that used to be me in my early years!). Some of us even experience joint pain...that was me also. Don't worry about what you're experiencing...it's all a part of the "joys" of womenhood.
If this continues past your menstation it's not normal. Set up an appointment with a gynecologist if that happens.
