*Step 1:
Buy tampons that are appropriate to your menstrual flow: light, average or heavy.

Step 2:
Wash your hands with soap and hot water.

Step 3:
Remove the tampon from the wrapper.

Step 4:
Slide the applicator a few inches into the vagina (tampon side in), but not so far that you can't hold the outer of the two tubes that make up the applicator.

Step 5:
Push the inner tube into the outer tube, releasing the tampon into the vagina.

Step 6:
Slide the applicator out.

Step 7:
Make sure the tampon's string remains outside the vagina.

Step 8:
Wrap the applicator in toilet paper and throw it away. Do not flush it down the toilet.

**It Depends on what the situation is for wearing a tampon or pad,
i wear tampons mostly when I'm swimming or working out
but if you are cramping pads and better
if you are starting out on your period, start off with pads

***Don't wear pads or tampons when you don't have your period. Its very pointless.
mark your calender every time you have your period and every time you end it, for next month it should be coming around that time

****good luck :]

I prefer pads and you should just stick to pads. You should use tampons only when you need to for example swimming.

Usually when you buy a pack of tampons, there's instructions inside the box that explains how to put them in. But anyhow, you either sit on the toliet with your knees spread apart, standing with one foot on the toliet, or squating with your legs apart and knees bent. You then insert the tampon into your vaginaso it's pointed towards your lower back and at an angle of the least resistance. You then press on the inserter until it's all the way inside the applicator. Pull out the applicator and make sure the string is hanging outside your body. Piece of cake. And also, it's not healthy to have a tampon in when you're not on your period. It dramatically increases your chance of getting TSS.
