Please help.. really weird period problem?!

Question: Hi.. I'm a virgin and my periods have been irregular lately and my stomach is sore all the time. My most recent period started three days ago (2 weeks late) but didn't even fill one pad, and was brown and clear and kind of gooey but almost not there at all. My lower stomach hurts so much that I can't even do up my pants. I've taken antacid and hot tea and so on and it hasn't helped.. what could be going on? I had a doctor tell me my uterus looks bulky a little while ago and I just thought it was because my periods are normally sooooo heavy... today the flow (or lack thereof) is nothing, my period's over and it didn't even really start. what is going on with me :s

Go to a doctor. Having pain so that you can't pull your pants up is a horrible thing, I've dealt with that before. For me it was because my uterus was enlarged and I had a lot of cysts which were putting pressure on everything. It was so bad at times that I didn't eat because the weight of the food in my gut was painful.

It could be that you have ovarian or uterine cysts, which can cause really heavy irregular periods, pain, bloating, pressure, and strange discharge. There is also the possiblilty of infection or blockage.

If you are passing really large clots they can sometimes block the opening of the cervix and then you'll have a lot of pain and additional feelings of bloat or feeling like you need to pee or go poop but nothing happens.

I'd definitely go to the doctor, hopefully you can get some help. Try ibuprofen, tylenol, or midol for the pain, also heating pads can help but they might be too much if your pants are making you hurt. If one doctor won't help try to find one that will, and that you feel comfortable with.

I hope you can find relief, I know how terrible it can be. Good luck, sista!

You might have some kind of infection, I think you should go see you doctor....
