When will i (if i EVER) get my period?!
Question: OK, i am 12 years old and i have hair on my arm pits and public areas, and my breasts feel very tender, and a have a thick discharge in my underwear, will i EVER get my period? My mother get hers around my age and i am feeling very nervous! I have all the symptoms, just no period!

Usually the cycle begins two years after the breast start to develop. Don't worry because once you start your period and experience all of the symptoms that accompany it, you will wish that it started much later. However, as for the thick discharge, please alert a parent or guardian so that they can take you to see a physician because that could potentially be a sign of a yeast, or bacterial infection.

well your still very young to get your period. Girls can get their period anywhere between 10 and 17 years old and be perfectly normal.

and i got mine when i was like 13
well you have all the symptoms..i got my period in the same age..just wait for it, nothing to be nervous.
Soon enough be thankful you don't.. Its a life time chore.
You're really young still.. don't panic.. I'm sure you'll get it soon.. some people don't get it till their in their teens... p.s. be happy you don't have it yet.. it's not something to look foreward to lol

all you can do is stop worrying and let things happen. if you havent had it by the time you are 13 then maybe you should be seeking an explanation but for now dont worry about it.
I was 13 - but everyone is different of course. Don't worry it will be with you soon enough! and the you'll be wishing it would go away! lol. They're a really annoying part of being a woman, and right now is the only time in your life you will be wishing it upon yourself!

don't worry it will come. if you are getting a discharge, be sure to wear panty liners so if it does start and you are not at home you will not have an embarrassing leak situation. I got mine unexpectantly at school in 6th grade and it was very embarrassing.
Course you will! Some women don't start until they are 18 (although it's rare). The average age is about 13. I was 14 when I started. Don't fret! Just because your mum started at 12 that doesn't mean you will. Just be patient, it'll happen when it happens! :)

You can get an ultrasound scan to see your uterus. I got one and everything was OK, like the doctor said. I got my periods a few months later.
I had all the symptoms that you had and I got mine this year and I'm 13. Almost all women get their period. Don't feel nervous because some women don't get their period until their 17 (very uncommon). But, with these symtoms you might get yours soon.
Don't worry you are only 12 some people get there periods when there 16.
