Your ovaries can't read a calendar. There is no day during the month when you are 100% INvulnerable to pregnancy, except when you're already pregnant.
Most women ovulate two weeks before their next menstrual period. That is a statistical average, not a reliable indication of when YOU will ovulate during any given month. It is possible to ovulate early, late, or more than once. Sperm can live up to five days in the reproductive tract, looking for an egg to fertilize---so any sex the week prior to an expected ovulation is capable of ending in pregnancy.

If you are a 28 dayer, April 3 - April 9 would be my recomemdation for doing without or dual method b/c or if you want to get pregnant, that would be the ideal days.
